Following
on from the fantastic and unparalleled success of the SCEDU Tender Readiness Toolkit, SCCN are developing a Childcare Toolkit
in association with our parent company Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit.
The
Childcare Toolkit is aimed at any individual or organisation that is seeking to develop childcare provisions, and or facilities
and needing guidance. The toolkit is a reflection of SCCN’s work and experience
in childcare in Sheffield
for the past nine years.
The Childcare
Toolkit will contain the following parts:
- A look at the company type’s available for childcare ranging from social to private provision.
- An assessment of the service you wish to deliver
- Appropriate legislation
- Researching your market place
- Financial forecasting, and child occupancy levels
- An assessment of staffing
- Quality procedures, and statutory evidence that may be required
- An interactive tool looking at other forms of income generation to sustain the business
The toolkit
will be available on interactive cd-roms, as well as website versions, and associated training packages.
The Childcare
Toolkit is due to be released in late 2007.
